A Kassel genealogy reports [1]:

Heinrich Kassel is mentioned among the fifty-two members of the Mennonite Church, at Germantown, in 1704, when the first Mennonite meeting-house was built. See Morgan Edwards' History, 1770. Of this Heinrich Kassel we have very little account. It is, however, stated by the descendants of the Cassel family, of Maryland, that their ancestor came from Pennsyl- vania early in the 1700s, and settled near Frederick city, Maryland, or may it be that he removed with Van Bebber to Bohemia Manor, Cecil County, Maryland. See Pennypacker's Sketches, page 57. One of the descendants writes from Balti- more and mentions three sons, vizJacob Cassel, m. Margaret and stayed on the old farm, or homestead, near Frederick City, Maryland, and had eleven children. The other two, Abraham Cassel and Martin Cassel, moved to Kentucky in early life.

1756 A memorial marker for Henry Cassell indicates that he died in 1756 and was buried at Cassell Cemetery, Westminster, Carroll County, Maryland. [2]
