1772 The eleven heirs of Henry Landis were named in Henry's will, dated 17 May 1770 in Lancaster County, as Henry and wife Mary, Mary wife of Michael Shank, Frena wife of John Shrantz, Anna wife of John Downer, Christena wife of Peter Good, Barbara wife of Arnold Baker, Susanna wife of John Heiss, Elizabeth wife of Abraham Hershi, Magdalena wife of Abraham Downer, Margaret wife of Jacob Alter, Catherine wife of Benjamin Hershey. (Lancaster deed P-293).

1811 The heirs of Abraham Hershey of Manheim Twp were named in a Lancaster County deed dated October 3. The heirs were eldest son Abraham Hershy of Manor Twp, Jacob Shoemaker of Rapho Twp, Lancaster County and wife Esther; John Long of Buffaloe Twp, Niagara County, New York and wife Mary; Christian Erb of Pennsborough Twp, Cumberland County and wife Elizabeth; John Frick and wife Ann of Niagara County, New York; Barbara Hershy spinster of Manheim Twp, Lancaster County; David Long and wife Catharine of Manheim Twp and youngest son Christian Hershy of Manheim Twp. A previous deed CC-174 was cited. [1]

Research Notes:

The daughters were assumed to be listed in birth order in the 1811 deed. Approximate birthdates were assigned to be consistent with the three birthdates reported in the Mennonite card file for Abraham, Christian, and Elizabeth.
