1702 Richard French and Mary King were married on January 13, 1701/02 at the house of Harmenus King, Nottingham Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. Witnessed by Rose Fowler and others. [2]
1723 Thomas Scholey Jr married Hannah Fowler at Chesterfield on May 26. Witnessed by John, William, Francis, and John Jr Fowler and others. [3]
1731 John Fowler was assessed for 124 acres in Upper Freehold Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [4]
1753 A tract of land was purchased by Benjamin Fowler from his father John Fowler by deed dated November 29, 1753, as described in a deed dated March 4, 1773 from John Woodward to Nathan Wright. [5]
1758 John Fowler [perhaps the father of Hannah Fowler] owned land near Crosswicks, Monmouth County. [6]
At a conference between the whites and Indians, held at Crosswicks, in February, 1758, these two Delawares presented claims for certain lands which had not been sold by them. With reference to one of these claims to lands in the county of Monmouth, the minutes of the Crosswicks conference read as follows: "They have a tract of land beginning at the Old Ford, by John Fowler's; then in a line to Doctor's Creek, above, but in sight of Allentown; ther up the creek to the lower end of Imlaystown; then in a line to Crosswicks, by Duke Horseman's; then along said creek to the place of beginning. Teedyusung and Tatamy are concerned in the above lands."

5. John Fowler (Henry) son of Henry Fowler and his wife Rebecca Newell, was born __ at Providence, and died __ at __. He married Rose Burton, daughter of William Burton of Mashantank in Providence, before 1703. In 1690 John Fowler of Providence was deeded land in Providence by his brother William Fowler of Flushing. In 1691 John Fowler of New York deeded William Randall, land in Providence which had belonged to his father Henry Fowler in 1687; excepting a tract of land which his father had given by deed of gift to his daughter Newell Fowler and a deed of gift to "my brother William Fowler now of Flushing." In 1692-3, John Fowler of Providence purchased one eighth of a right to land on the westside of Panchassett river in Pautuxett; and in 1699; residing in Providence, he sold land in Pautuxett.
John Fowler witnessed a deed in Providence in 1695 and was recorded as a scout there in 1698. Added to in January 1937 Record page 19 was still living in Providence in 1699. The date of his moving to New Jersey has not been ascertained; but with wife Rose Fowler and (sons ?) Jonathan and Francis Fowler, he was listed as a member of the Baptist Church at Middletown with other "members in the County of Monmouth and places adjacent in East New Jersey," in 1731 - 35 (Stillwell's Gen. Misc. II, 258) John and Rose (Burton) Fowler had the following 2 children (as shown by the Chesterfield Friends Records, N. J. Col. Documents, Vol. XXII)
I. Hannah, probably at Providence was of Monmouth Co., N. Y., dau. of John and Rose " when she was m. on the 26th of the 3rd mo., 1720, in the Chesterfield N. J. Meeting House to Thomas Scholey of Burlington Co., N. J. The witnesses were John Fowler (her father), William Fowler (?) Francis Fowler (2) John Fowler (her brother), Jeremiah Fowler (?) Thomas Scholey, Sarah Scholey, William Scholey and Elizabeth Scholey and others. (p. 667)
II. John, b. at Providence, R. I., d. int. at New Hanover, Burlington Co., N. J. before Sept. 8, 1731 when Letters of Adm. were granted his widow Elizabeth Fowler (1st Series, N. J. Col. Doc., Vol. XXX, p. 186) Elizabeth Fowler was m. at Chesterfield (of Hanover ") on the 26th of the 12th mo., 1740, to Joseph Reckless of Chesterfield. 2 Hannah, d. of Chesterfield, dau. of John, dec'd and Elizabeth, now Reckless " m. at Chesterfield on the 29th of the 10th mo. 1743, to George Middleton of Nottingham, son of John, dec'd., and Esther.
