1780 Thomas Scott, child of Abraham Scott and Patience Rogers, was born on April 3 in Burlington County, New Jersey. [1] [2]

1806 Thomas Scott and Mary Smith declared their intention to marry at the Upper Springfield monthly meeting. Dated 7 of month 5. [3] [4]

1806 Thomas Scott, son of Abraham and Patience Scott, of Burlington Twp, married Mary Smith at Mansfield Twp, Burlington County on May 14. [5]

1807-1809 Children Abner, Sarah, and Thomas Smith Scott were born to Thomas Scott, son of Abraham and Patience Scott, and Mary Scott, daughter of Thomas and Meriba Smith. [6]

1807 Abner S Scott, child of Thomas Scott and Mary Scott, was born on May 9 in Burlington County, New Jersey. [7] [8]

1810 Thomas and Mary Scott brought a certificate from Burlington to Upper Springfield meeting. Dated June 4. [9]

1815 Abigail Ann Scott, child of Thomas Scott and Mary Scott, was born on April 7 in Burlington County, New Jersey. [10]

1816 Thomas Scott and wife Mary of Springfield Twp, Burlington County sold land to Solomon Emley on April 20. Mary had inherited the land by will of her father Thomas Smith. [11]

1818 Thomas Scott, of Wayne Twp, Butler County, Ohio, son of Abraham Scott(deceased), appointed his brother Abraham Scott, of Woolwich Twp, Gloucester County, New Jersey, to act as his attorney for the sale of a tract of land in Northampton Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. Dated March 23. [12]

1850 Samuel S Scott (age 30, born in Ohio) lived in Gratis Twp, Preble County, Ohio, in a household with Charlotte Scott (age 28), John W Scott (age 6), Mary Scott (age 2), Susan Scott (age 1), Mary Scott (age 67), and Abigail Scott (age 35). [13]

1850 Abner Scott (age 43, born in New Jersey) lived in Israel Twp, Preble County, Ohio, in a household with Esther Scott (age 38), Mary A Scott (age 16), Abigail Scott (age 10), Esther Scott (age 7), Joseph Scott (age 4), and Susan Scott (age 0). Abner Scott was a farmer. [14]

1855 A deed in Preble County, Ohio described the administration of the estate of Thomas Scott deceased, who dated his will on November 5 (11th month fifth day), 1841. The tenth clause of the will stated that sons Amos and Samuel Smith Scott were allowed to purchase the farm at the appraised value. Abner S Scott and Amos Scott were named as executors. The wife of Thomas died some time since afterwards. The lands were appraised by John Patterson, William Whitesides, and James Barnet, freeholders of Preble County on June 22, 1854. Amos Scott had died before his mother. Samuel S Scott refused the appraisal. Abner Scott advertized the property for sale. Samuel Smith Scott purchased the property. The property was the NW quarter of section 15 in township 4 of range 3 East containiing 172 acres. Signed by Abner S Scott, surviving executor. [15]

1881 Samuel Smith Scott died on January 19. Samuel Smith Scott was buried at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton, Preble County, Ohio. Samuel Smith Scott was born on February 18, 1820. [16]

1887 Abner Steward Scott died on November 4 in Eaton, Preble County, Ohio. Abner Steward Scott was buried at Westfield Cemetery, Camden, Preble County, Ohio. He was born on May 9, 1807 in Burlington County, New Jersey. [17]
