1787 Catharine, daughter Henry and Christine Balsly, was born on November 26. She was baptized on April 6, 1788, with witnesses, John and Elizabeth [Christine's sister] Noll at the Abbotstown Reformed Church. [1]

1808 Michall Bush was baptized on May 21, 1808 in Arendtsville, Adams County, Pennsylvania with sponsors Michael Bush, and Christine Balzli. Michall Bush was born on April 24, 1808, child of John Bush and Katy Bush. [3]

1810 John Bush lived in Menallan Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (10 thru 15) and 1 (45 and over); and females: 1 (10 thru 15) and 1 (26 thru 44). [4] Widow Balsley was listed nearby.

Catharine Baltzly, with these parents and siblings, married John Bush. [5]

1813 John Bush was baptized on January 31, 1813 in Arendtsville, Adams County, Pennsylvania with sponsors John Baltzlin, and Beby Roehmer. John Bush was born on August 18, 1812, child of John Bush and Katy Bush. [6] Arendtsville is about 5 miles south of Menallen Twp.

The remaining notes might pertain to the same John Bush of the notes above. The John Bush of the notes below was in the right place at the right time to be the same person and he died with minor child John. However, his wife was named Elizabeth at his death (see the note dated 1834).

1825 Land from the estate of John Bush was advertized in Menallen township, Adams county.

A Tract of Woodland, in Mcnallen township, adjoining lands of George Black, John Noel and others, containing 130 Acres, more or less. Seized and taken in execution as late the Estate of John Bush, deceased.

1829 William Keller and John Tawser presented their account of the estate of John Bush to the orphans court. [21]

1830 William Keller and John Tawser petitioned the orphans court to sell land from the estate to pay debts. [22]

1831 William Keller and John Tawser presented their account of the estate of John Bush to the orphans court. [23]

1833 John Fell, guardian of Daniel, Jane, and John Bush, minor children of John Bush deceased, came into the orphans court. Frederick Wolf of Menallen Twp was appointed their guardian. [24]

1834 John Tawzer and William Keller, administrators for J Bushey [sic] leaving widow Elizabeth and children Daniel, Jane, and John. Land from the estate was to be auctioned. Land was adjacent to land of Peter Ege. [25] The land was sold to Peter Ege. [26]

Sale will commence at 12 o'clock, M. when attendance will be given by JOIN TAIVSER, Adm's.
