1815 Mary Pickett married Lewis Stevens on May 10 or 11, 1815. They had children William, Sarah, Louisa, Mary Ann, Kennard P, Rufus K, Elizabeth, Lewis, and Celia, born 1816-1835.

1820 Lewis Stevens lived in Franklin County, Mississippi. [1]

1820 Lewis Stevens lived in Franklin County, Mississippi in a household with free white males: 2 (Under 10) and 1 (26 thru 44); and free white females: 1 (Under 10) and 1 (16 thru 25); and 8 enslaved persons. [2]

1830 Lewis Stevens lived in Franklin County, Mississippi in a household with free white males: 1 (5 thru 9), 1 (10 thru 14), and 1 (30 thru 39); and free white females: 2 (Under 5), 1 (5 thru 9), 2 (10 thru 14), and 1 (30 thru 39); and 14 enslaved persons. [3]

1840 Lewis Stephens lived in Yazoo County, Mississippi in a household with free white males: 1 (Under 5), 2 (5 thru 9), and 1 (40 thru 49); and free white females: 1 (Under 5), 1 (10 thru 14), 1 (15 thru 19), and 1 (40 thru 49); and 13 enslaved persons. [4]

Mary Pickett's death has been reported both on January 25, 1841 in South Carolina and on August 29, 1841 in Yazoo County, Mississippi.

1841 On January 25, William Pickett, William Bull, and Lewis Stevens posted bond as guardians of R K Stevens and Lewis Stevens, minors of Mary Stevens dec'd of Yazoo County. [5] [6] Perhaps Mary Ann died at this time.

1841 On January 25, William Pickett, William Bull, and Lewis Stevens posted bond as guardians of Ann Stevens, minor of Yazoo County. [7]

1846 The will of Mary Pickett, dated January 26 in Yazoo County, Mississippi, named the children of her daughter Mary Stevens. [8]:

This day William Pickett and M Pickett Jr personally appeared before the Hon Probate Court of Yazoo County and on oath testified that during the last sickness of Mary Pickett deceased she did make known to them at her residence as witnesses her last will and testament as follows, viz To Cassandra Stevens, Martha Ann Stevens, Micajah P Stevens, James M Stevens, Laura Stevens and Benjamin F Stevens and William Stevens, children of her daughter Celia Stevens, she gave to following negroes Hairah, Mussan Philip, Daphney and Winny as To Rufus R. Stevens and Levis Stevens children of her daughter, Mary Stevens an Negro boy Josha sworn to & subscribed in open court this 26th Jany 1846 Chas M Henderson. William Pickett, M Pickett Jr.

William Pickett further states that she bequeathed to Elizabeth Stevens, and Mary Ann Stevens her Baroncke? and Horse in his presence and the presence of his wife Elizas Pickett

1850 Lewis Stevens (age 53, born Tennessee) was listed in the census (dated 20 June, 1859), with Benjamin F Stevens (age 12), in Yazoo, Mississippi. The adjacent household, on the prior page of the census listed the family of William Pickett (age 46). [9]

1850 On August 26, at the probate court of Yazoo County, Mississippi, William Pickett posted bond as the administrator for the estate of Lewis Stevens, late of Yazoo County, Mississippi. [10]

1851 Micajah and William Pickett posted bond as administrators for the estate of Lewis Stevens in Yazoo County. [11]

THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI Yazoo County
Probate Court February Term, 1854.
To all persons interested in the estate of Louis Stevens deceased:
In matters of the application of William Pickett admistrator of Louis Stevens dec'd for leave to make a final settlement of his account and surrender of his letters as administrator as aforesaid. It was therefore ordered by the Court, that citation issue to William H. Bell as Guardian adliteur, for Hellory Callahan and Celia Stevens, minors, and J. M. Pickett, and Susan Pickett, his wife, Rufus K, Stevens, and Micajah Pickett, as Guardian for Lewis Stevens, a minor to Yazoo county, and that publication of said citation as to William P. Stevens. Young Callahan and Elizabeth Calahan his wife, Mary A. Stevens, Hellory Callahan, Lewis, Callahan and Celia Stevens and all others the non residents and unknown heirs and distributees to the estate of said Lewis Stevens deceased, be made in the Yazoo City Whig for the space of sixty days, to be and appear at the next May term, 1854 of this Court, then and there to show cause if any they have or can, why said final account and surrender of letters should not be allowed
Issued 4th day of March, 1854.
