Peter Wilhelm Cafferoth/Kafferoth from Heckenhahn in the parish of Flamersfeld moved to America in 1748, taking 334 Rtlr out of the country; he paid 4 Rtlr. (343 Sayn-Hachenburg Rechnungen). "Peter Wilhelm Caffroth" was a passenger on the ship Edinburgh arriving in Philadelphia in 1748 (S-H, I, p. 371). The Flammersfeld registers record that Peter Wilhelm Cafferodt, s/o the late Willhelm Cafferodt at Heckenhan, md. 8 July 1745 Anna Maria d/o the late Johann Henrich Schneider from Kescheid; they had a daughter Anna Demuth bpt. 12 Feb 1747 there. The parents of this emigrant Cafferoth were also noted in the chbk. as "Wilhelm and Anna Veronica Heckenhan" (from the locale in which they resided). Peter Wilhelm, s/o Willhelm Heckenhahn and wife Anna Fries (Veronica), was bpt. 19 April 1716. Anna Veronica, wid/o Wilhelm Cafferodt at Heckenhan, was bur. 11 Feb 1745. On Peter Wilhelm's wife's family, the registers show that Henrich Schneider, s/o Huprich Schneider at Kescheit, md. 17 Oct 1706 Maria, wid/o Hans Henrich Schumann at Gollershofen. Henrich Schneider from Kescheid was bur. 30 Jan 1724, and Huberdus Schneider at Kescheit d. 9 Feb 1712, aged ca. 72 yrs.
1753 Anna Maria, widow of Peter Kaffroth married Johan Jacob Beck, son of deceased Peter Beck on March 18 in Cocalico. [3]
