John Stokes was the son of Joseph and was the grandson of Thomas Stokes. [1]

1745 Bathsheba Stokes and Isaac Evans were married on December 5 in Chester Twp, Burlington County. Witnessed by John Stokes and others. [2]

1775 John Stokes was granted a certificate on 4th day of 3rd month to marry Mary Atkinson. [3] [4]

John Stokes married Mary Atkinson. [5] [6]

1796 Mary Stokes, widow of John Stokes, was named in the will of Anna Stokes. [7]
