1859 The heirs and executors of the estate of Jacob Bortner deceased of Codorus Twp, York County were named in a court case in the York County court. The executors of the will were Jacob G Bortner and Jesse Bortner, who were also the petitioners of the court. Jacob Bortner deceased in his lifetime had purchased land from John Buser on June 16, 1849. Jacob had sold that land to John Fishel subject to conditional on a payment by Fishel. The transfer of that tract of land to Fishel was the subject of the petition. The petition named Catherin Bortner the widow, Lewis G. Bortner, Elizabeth Rohrbaugh and husband Peter Rohrbaugh, Daniel Bortner, Amos Bortner, Lucin Steffy and husband George Steffy, Charles Bortner, Catherine Bortner and husband Jonas M. Bortner, Emanuel Bortner, Levi Bortner, Matilda Devinuer and husbvand George Devineur, and Julian Bortner a minor and her guardian Daniel Bortner, all of whom were children and spouses of children of Jacob Bortner deceased. 1880 Catarina "Catherine" Gerberick Bortner died on Mar. 8, 1880 and was buried at Saint Jacobs Stone Church Cemetery, Glenville, York County, Pennsylvania. Catarina "Catherine" Gerberick Bortner was born Sep. 27, 1793. [8] [9]
