1769 John Henry Thoman was born on July 25. [1]

1769 Fredericka Magdalene Hoffman, daughter of Adam and Barbara Hoffman, was born on September 24. she was baptised on October 27, at the Heidelberg Reformed Church, in Schaefferstown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania with sponsors Eva Fredericka Cafferoth and Gerhard Cafferoth. [2] [3] [4] [5]

1798 Christian [Maria Christina?] Thomi was born on December 29, daughter of Henry and Magdalene Thomi. Rudolph and Christine Tohmen were sponsors. [6]

1810 Henry Thoman lived in Heidelberg Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (Under 10), 1 (10 thru 15), 1 (16 thru 25), and 1 (45 and over); and females: 2 (Under 10), 2 (10 thru 15), 1 (16 thru 25), and 1 (26 thru 44). [7]

1820 Henry Thoman lived in Heidelberg Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (Under 10), 2 (10 thru 15), and 1 (45 and over); and females: 1 (Under 10), 3 (16 thru 25), and 1 (45 and over). [8]

1828 "They moved to Juniata Twp, Perry County, Pennsylvania in 1828 from York County. They purchased 119 acres of land from Jonathan Lenig (Loesch). They lived there until their deaths. Both are buried at the Christ Church Cemetery in Bloomfield in Perry County, Pennsylvania." [9]

1830 Henry Thoman (age 70-80) lived in Juniata Twp, Perry County, Pennsylvania. [10] [11]

1835 Johann Heinrich Thoman (born July 27, 1757) died on August 15 and was buried at Union Cemetery, New Bloomfield, Perry County, Pennsylvania. [12]


1848 Daughter Barbara Snyder died.

1850 Magdalena Thoman (age 82, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Juniata Twp, Perry County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Christena Toomins (47), Mary Toomins (45), and Jessee Toomins (27). [14]

1856 Magdalena Fredrika Thoman (born Sep. 24, 1769) died on May 14 and was buried at Union Cemetery, New Bloomfield, Perry County, Pennsylvania. [15] [16]

1858 Anna Fronicka Thoman, spouse of John Henry Thoman, died on July 21 in Mahoning County, Ohio. She was born on October 7, 1794 in York County, Pennsylvania. [17]

1862 Samuel Thoman, spouse of Sarah Thoman, died on May 27 in Frederick County, Virginia. He was born on May 13, 1813 in York County, Pennsylvania, son of Johann Heinrich Thoman and Magdalena Fredrika Thoman. [18]

1880 Anna Maria Thomman died on April 20 in Perry County, Pennsylvania. Anna Maria Thomman was born on November 18, 1800 in York County, Pennsylvania, child of Johann Heinrich Thoman and Magdalena Fredrika Thoman. [19]

1885 John Henry Thoman Sr, spouse of Anna Fronicka Thoman, died on February 17 in Mahoning County, Ohio. He was born on July 23, 1792 in York County, Pennsylvania, son of Johann Heinrich Thoman and Magdalena Fredrika Thoman. [20]

1897 Son Jesse Thomman, spouse of Sarah Thomman, died on September 10 in Perry County, Pennsylvania. Jesse Thomman was born on June 22, 1819 in York County, Pennsylvania, child of Johann Heinrich Thoman and Magdalena Fredrika Thoman. [21]

Research Notes:

"Maria Barbara Thoman, daughter of Johann Heinrich and Magdalena Thoman (their third child) was born April 30, 1795 and her baptism sponsors were Adam Hoffman and his wife, Maria's grandparents. Apparently, this birth was not found in the Lischy's (St. Peter's) Church records, but was listed in the Thoman Bible." Then, Heinrich and Magdalena's son Adam (their 8th child) was born October 7, 1805 and baptized June 3, 1806. His sponsors were his grandparents, Adam Hoffman and his wife. [22]
