Arcadia. March 20. Owen H. Dishong, one of the influential orange growers of the county, died at his home at Owens Wednesday and was buried at the Owens Cemetery Thurs day. Mr. Dishong. belonging to both the Masonic and Knights of Pythias the funeral was in charge of the two orders, the Masons taking precedence being the older society. Wauchula. Punta Gorda and Arcadia lodges were all represented. The funeral was ore of the largest attended in years.
Mr. Dishong leaves a wife and a number of children to mourn his loss.
The funeral of Hon. Owen Dishong at Owens last week was attended by fully 1500 people. Friends were present from all parts of the county. There was a large representation of Free Masons composed of members from every lodge in the county and the lamented dead was laid to rest in accordance with their beautiful rites.
1910 Letitia Catherine Dishong, spouse of Owen Huggins Dishong, died on August 26 in Florida. She was born on July 15, 1859 in Florida, daughter of Jacob Newsom and Elizabeth Jane Newsome. [16]
1912 Elizabeth Jane Newsome, spouse of Jacob Newsom, died on May 28 in Arcadia, DeSoto County, Florida. She was born on July 8, 1837 in Alabama. [17]

Several dna matches have been found for Robert Wolfe with descendants of son James Alexander Newsome and his wife Samantha Melissa Mayo. Many of those matches are shared matches with descendants of Nancy Cochran and Isaiah Pickett. The common ancestor of these dna matches in not known and is under active investigation.
