1702 Georg Michael, son of Hanß Georg Brenneissen and wife Ann Ursula, was born on December 9. He was baptized on December 10, at the Evangelisch church in Eichtersheim, Heidelberg, Baden, Germany with sponsors Michael Wagenblast and wife Anna Eva. [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]

1704 Maria Margaretha Klein, child of Hanß Georg Klein and Maria Catharina Klein, was baptized on October 7 in Sinsheim, Baden (Baden-Württemberg), Preußen (Germany). Maria Margaretha Klein was born on October 6. [10] [11]

1723 Georg Michael Brenneisen, son of the late Joh. Georg Brenneisen, citizen and "des Gerichts" at Eichtersheim, married Anna Margretha, daughter of the late J. Georg Klein, court recorder in Kirchardt, on November 23, at Evangelisch Church, Hilsbach, Baden, Germany. [12] [13] [14] The parish was listed as Weiler. [15] [16]

Marriage
1723 Georg Michael Brenneisen and Anna Margretha Klein were married at Hilsbach.

1724 J. Gottfried, child of Georg Michael (schumacher) and Anna Margretha Brenneisen, was born on December 1. George Michael was a burger and shoemaker of Weiler. Gottfried was baptized on December 3 with sponsors Gottfried Munch and Elisabeth his wife, at Evangelisch, Hilsbach, Heidelberg, Baden. [17] [18] [19] [20] [21]

1727 Maria Barbara Brenneisen was born on March 6, 1727, at Sinsheim. She was baptized on March 9 with sponsors Johannes Klein, burger in Weiler, and his wife Anna Barbara. [22] [23]

1729 There were two records, listed adjacent in the churchbook, for births about a month apart. Perhaps Jacob and Susanna were twins born several days apart.

1729 Joh. Jacob Brenneisen, child of Georg Michael Brenneisen and Anna Margretha Brenneisen, was baptized on August 14, 1729, in Sinsheim, Baden (baden-württemberg)Germany. Joh. Jacob Brenneisen was born on August 12, 1729. Sponsors were John Jacob Shwein burger ? and his wife. [24] [25] [26] The subsequent listing for Susanna suggests that she had the same parents and was born on August 21 and was baptized the same day with sponsors J Susanna, daughter of the late Jos. Wittmer, burger and shoemaker.

1729 Susanna Brenneiser, child of Georg Michael Brenneiser and Anna Margretha Brenneiser, was baptized on September 21, 1729, in Sinsheim, Baden (baden-württemberg), Preußen (Germany). Susanna Brenneiser was born on September 21, 1729. [27] [28] This date conflicts with the birth of Joh. Jacob.

1730 Based on records in Germany and America, it is plausible that Georg Michael Brenneisen came to America with wife Anna Margretha Klein, son Johann Jacob, son Gottfried, and daughter Maria Barbara. [29] [30]

1730 George Michael Brenneisen and Anna Margretha sailed for America from Rotterdam, via Deale, England.

George Michael Brenneisen might be the Michael Brenneisen taxed in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County, 1769-79. Marriages for Jacob Brenneisser and Mary Barbara Breneiss, in the notes below, could refer to two of his children. [39]

1743 John Peter Wampler and Anna Barbara Breneiss [named as Mary Barbara Wampler in subsequent baptism sponsorships] were married on September 26, at Swatara. [40] The Swatara church was located in Bethel Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, until after 1765 when members moved to Jonestown and continued using the old Swatara register.

1746 Anna Veronica Wampsler and Jacob Breneisser were married on January 13, at Lebanon, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [41]

1751 Christina Minier and John Breneissen were married on January 21, at Bethel Township, Lancaster County. [42]

1755 Christ. Brenizer [43] [44] [45] and Jacob BrenIron adjacent to Michael Wampler each with 50 acres [46] [47] [48] and Ulrich Wampler as a single man [49] were named on the tax list for Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County. [50]

1769 Michael Brenisen was named on the list of "Inmeats" [Inmates: tenants or renters] in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County. This was the first year that this list was displayed, so he may have been present in prior years. [51]

1770 Michael Brenizen was named on the list of "Inmates" in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County. [52]

1771 Michael Brenneyson was named on the list of "Houss dennence" [tenants? renters?] in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County. [53]

No record of land ownership by George Michael Brenneisen has yet been found. However, tracts in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania have been geo-located, based on survey maps, for son John Brenizer, Peter Wampler (father-in-law of son John Jacob, of daughter Anna Maria Barbara, and of daughter Anna Elizabeth), and grandson John Michael.

Research Notes:

We are researching the parents of John Brenizer, who married Christina Minier in 1751. Based on the documents that we have found concerning his likely places of residence, as documented at this website, and DNA evidence, we suspect that George Michael Brenneisen and Anna Margretha Klein were his parents. John Brenizer may have been born on the voyage coming to America or soon after arrival. Both George Michael Brenneisen and the children that we attribute to him lived in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County, according to multiple documents. Descendants of John Brenizer have DNA matches with descendants of two other children of George Michael Brenneisen. The research of Annette Kunselman Burgert agrees with our research and suggests that the family of John Valentine Breneisen is unrelated. [57] [58] We welcome further documentation about this relationship. Some researchers have identified John Brenizer (spouse of Christina Minier) with John Frederick Brenizer (b. 23 Jun 1726) who was a son of Hans Valentin Brenneisen. [59] However, Hans Valentin Brenneisen and his children lived in Earl Twp, Lancaster County rather than in Lebanon Twp according to multiple documents. [60]

David Klein and Elizabeth Breneisen were married and were buried in Berks County (relationship unknown).

1814 David Klein, b. March 2, 1746; died January 28, 1814; m. Elizabeth Breneisen, b. Nov. 8, 1750; died Aug. 4, 1827. Grave marker at a private (Klein) burial ground on the west bank of the Northkill Creek, about a mile northward of Bernville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. [61] [62]

1827 Elizabeth Breneisen Klein died on August 4 and was buried at Klein Cemetery, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Breneisen Klein was born on November 8, 1750. [63] [64]

Genealogy notes for Peter Wampler have been published. [65]

1773 George and Martin Breininger were taxed in Cumru Twp, Berks County. [66]

1772 George Michael Bruner was taxed in Cocalico Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. John Brinison (perhaps a son) and John Bruner Jr [perhaps a grandson] were also listed. [67]
