He was an immigration land agent for the Rio Grande Valley Land Co. in Kansas City, Missouri. He was single with no dependents, tall and of medium build with grey eyes and light hair. [5]

1966 Cuthbert Omer Miles died on September 17 in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas. He was vice-president at the W.D. Miles Co. He was born in England on August 21, 1886, the son of Wm D Miles and Annie Haynes. Mrs C. O. Miles was the informant. The cause of death was a cerebral hemorage from falling down the stairs at home. Mortgage Bank Firm Official Dies
Cuthbert O. Miles, 80, of 504 Morgan, vice president of W. D. Miles Co., local mortgage bankers, died at 7 a.m. yesterday in a local hospital.
Miles, a veteran of World War I., moved here from Chicago 12 years ago.
Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St., Thomas Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Thompson, rector, officiating. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park under direction of Cage-Mills Funeral Home.
Surviving is his wife, Kate.
The family requests that contributions be made to the St. Thomas Memorial Fund in lieu of flowers..

1977 Katherine "Kate" Huey Miles died on August 4 at Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas and was buried at Seaside Memorial Park, Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas. She was born on January 17, 1888. [11]

Daughter of James L. and Mary E. (Hawkins) Huey.
Marriage: Lawrence Guild in June 1906.
Marriage: Cuthbert O. Miles on September 22, 1920, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
C. O. Miles was a prominent Texas land owner and owner of the Progreso Development Land Co. and vice president of W. D. Miles Mortgage Banking & Insurance Co.
