What is the DLQ?

The Daily Language Questionnaire is an instrument that helps you collect data regarding language use in different learning contexts.

How does it work?

The DLQ can be administered very easily by sending participants a Qualtrics or LimeSurvey link daily, and it can be easily completed online via smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc. It’s very important to have an Internet connection.

How did the project develop?

There are three versions of the DLQ and each subsequent version has been created based on the feedback that we received from reviewers, participants.

Why should you use it?

It’s a ready-to-use instrument that can easily be maintained. It’s flexible and can be used in many situations. Participants can complete it in a very short period of time and it’s very user friendly.

This website provides information regarding the Daily Linguistic Questionnaire (DLQ). Right now, there are multiple different versions available, but we would recommend using the latest one, Version 3. For each version, you can find the instrument itself, but also additional material like instructional videos, published articles and further readings about the topic on the corresponding page.     Note: DO NOT alter the downloaded file in any way.
  • Step 3. Follow the corresponding instructions to import the file into the desired platform.
