I am working for the NOC of Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki,
During the last two months we had the following incident that occured after the
netatalk "package" was running for about a month: Appletalk daemon (via
appletalk) died although the tcp Appletalk daemon (via tcp-ip) didn't.
The problem showed up already twice, and we are just waiting for a third
incident.
We temporarily fixed the problem by restarting all the daemons manually (as they
run on a production server (one that is beeing used constantly for user
services))
The strange thing is that the package was running without problems and that only
one of the daemons died.
We are using version 1.4b2 with most (if not all) patches applied.
Can someone help?
