        Word of warning, Quark + Netatalk = Bad Things (tm) in general.

        Does the Mac user have rights to "write" to these folders? If Netatalk
can't create a .AppleDouble folder and files in it, it tends to give
this error.

        I have 4500 or so users, accessing a central storage server running
Samba and Netatalk for home directories and file sharing without a hitch
(for the most part).
