Hi again,
This time, the pertinent version information...
I've three issues at present.
I've netatalk installed on a Debian Linux intel box (Debian Linux 2.2.1
(potato), netatalk 1.4b2+asun2.1.3-6). Mac: G4, OS 8.6.
1. The Macs can connect by directly typing in IP addresses, but nothing
appears in the chooser. I'm starting both protocols when I start the daemon,
but cannot pin down why things aren't showing up. Obviously, netatalk is
setting up on the ethernet port and is starting TCP. Are there tools to
detect at what level the failure is occurring?
2. When connected, if showing server files, the display repeatedly redraws
itself.
3. From within a script on the Linux box, can I set the type/creator codes
of files moved to a shared directory? I've some graphics files who I'd like
to specify the creator for different from the default (which I'd like to
keep as it is.)
TIA
Nigel.
