I'm confused - are you saying that your linux box is damaging files when you
download them using the linux box. Thhis would NOT be normal behavior at
all.
Please clarify this.

This is odd - I had upgraded my netatalk installation to jeffb's RPMs, and
the one thing that I noticed is that alias' seem to be working now. I will
do more testing.
