That advantage went away as soon as Apple supported IP, heck it went away as
soon as the Mac had ethernet 2.

Nothing's as bad as Novell (lack of) support for Mac Clinets. They talk a
good show, but inn the end, the Mac gets Zero support. The best thing to
happen was the Mac Client by ProComm (I think), which now recently got
absorbed back into Novell - meaning you can pretty much write off any
improvements to it.
