I hardly ever recall Netware being either efficient, or faster/better than
an alternative solution (namely Apple's peer-peer filesharing). Coupled with
the inherent lack of support and customer service from Novell, I would
rather recommend notepad to people than any Novell product - of course, IT
environments still keep deploying it....

Like I said, the question was not about personal preference, but the reality
that users invariably WILL use aliases, particularly since they have been a
staple of the OS for quite a few years so far...
Not sure about Germans, but Austrians sure *DO* like alias' - I couldn't use
the Mac without them.

Yes, and Adrian deserves some huge kudos for his efforts - if it were not
for him, netatalk would be an obscure and obsolete technology demonstration
with last decade's technology (how long has it been in beta now, what,
almost how many years).
