Subject: Re: Problem: Appletalk with TCP/IP only

I'm not sure if my last message got through. Sorry if
this is a duplicate.
Thanks Scott,
You were right. For some reason my /etc/hosts file
was
wrong. It had
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost students
I changed it to:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.1.10 students.tasis.ch students
Now everything works perfectly! I didn't have to
restart any processes. I guess Netatalk reads the
/etc/hosts file with each and every login request?
I wonder why RH's default set up is the first way. I
just noticed my workstation is this way. It used to
do
it the second way by default which is more correct
anyway.
Anyway -- Thanks again.
Bill
