Hm, maybe your .AppleDesktop Directory got corrupt. I think you may safley delete it (if no afpd is accessing it at all). Any comments on this?

This is the old, unseeded network.
Just switch AppleTalk off and back on on your Mac (or if you want wo waste your uptime, just reboot).
Sometimes, AppleTalk would not adapt automagically to a new network configuration. Sometimes it's even harder: You'll have to delete the AppleTalk Preferences File and do a PRAM-Zap prior to re-configure your AppleTalk connection back to Ethernet.
