This happened to me when I was IP aliasing (eth0 and eth0:1) on the
interface netatalk wanted to use. My solution was to not alias IP addresses,
since it seemed to just not like it...

If you're aliasing on any of your interfaces, try getting rid of the IP
alias and see if that changes anything.
