i386? Wow. That box is bound to have fairly low LAN bandwidth, probably

MP3 streams can be fairly bandwidth intensive to a 386 or a fairly active
lan.... normally, it wouldn't make much difference, but if your MP3 player
has a small buffer (so it's not proloading enough data), and you're using
ancient hardware, that just might be too slow to work... try increasing the
incoming buffer on the player.

rpm -U is what you generally want to use to Upgrade your existing
installation... --replacefiles can blow away your config informarion.
