I've had this problem as well using SoundJam as an MP3 player. My server is
running Debian 2.2 and the Mac is a G4. Both are connected to a 10/100
switch, so there is plenty of bandwidth. It appeared that after about a
minute of playback, it would start getting very choppy. I haven't seen this
problem since I put in the switch, but I'm not sure what got rid of it. I'd
be interested in hearing more.
