First, you shouldn't try to use 1.4b2 on any Solaris system. The
streams module in that version (which was written by Sun) is quite
buggy. There's a snap-shot available from terminator.rs.itd.umich.edu.
If you're using Adrian's patches, he includes instructions for using
the snap-shot. All that said, there are no streams drivers for Solaris
which are written for x86. We don't have one here to test on, but most
problems you'll encounter with a port are probably endian issues. If
you succeed in a port, or need advice at some point in a port, let us
know.
