Oh yes, and what a fun problem it is...
You have a couple of options. I have the asun18.2 patches installed and
netatalk is far less buggy on a Sun. There also an experimental solaris
module which is supposed to be much nicer -- I can't remember it's
location however. Finally asun's a2.1.0 patches supposedly have the
solaris patches rolled in so that should be a good option as well.
