I've installed Adrian Sun's patched version of netatalk 1.4b2. Using the IP
features of this version I've got a great speed improvement (about 50 %
faster!).
No problems in building and installing, but I had a problem: the server was
present in the LAN but no volumes online! Is necessary to make readable by
everyone the "AppleVolumes.*" files.
