Came across another stone on the winding footpath of mac/pc/unix
integration just now.

If a Samba user makes a file with a name over 32 chars, the Macs using
Netatalk (latest asun on linux) can see it just fine, but get wierd errors
using it:

Some apps say 'file not found', but others (such as Office 98) say 'invalid
file type' or just 'can't open file'.

Everything shows up just fine in chooser and in file list windows.

It looks as though it can be renamed, but this seems to crash the Mac
sometimes, and doesn't actually rename the file on the server.

Has anyone else come across these issues or solutions to them?
