We are interested in studying gender differences in gait when balance is compensated because the subject is walking on their tip-toe9s. The question is interesting because as a group we are interested in both physical education and sports medicine. In physical education, it is interesting to be familiar with possible reasons of balance differences between males and females. Understanding this will allow for targeted exercises for both male and female concerning balance. In sports medicine it would be helpful to see balance differences in males and females because it may relate to the prevention of injury, care, and rehabilitation plans of both males and females with injuries.
