Through this project we plan to determine whether or not postural differences exist between to different stopping techniques used in rollerblading. We are calling the two different styles "old style" and "new style" for lack of better terms. The "old style" stopper is fixed to the blade of the rollerblade and the toe of the foot is lifted in order to stop. The "new style" stopper is located in the same place, but connected to the back of the rollerblade boot and allowed to pivot when the foot is slid forward. We find this question interesting because in the search for a new pair of rollerblades, the information from this project would be helpful.
