The purpose of the project is to collect data in order to answer the question; "Does the presence of a shoulder injury give rise to overcompensation in the opposite, NON-injured shoulder of an individual performing exercise?". The group will answer this question with a study of a military style shoulder press comparing two individuals, one subject with an injured shoulder and one without.
The reason being for this particular movement study is that one of the group members has a shoulder injury, while the other subject has a healthy "normal" shoulder. Secondly, to see if injuries on one side of the body could possibly lead to overcompensation of the opposite side, producing damage to the non-injured joint.
