Previous Events at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum

A Mercury Transit took place Wednesday, November 8, 2006 between 2:12 PM and sunset. A Mercury transit occurs when the planet Mercury travels directly between the Sun and the Earth. On average Mercury transits occur once every eight years (that is an average, the interval between two transits can be shorter or longer). On that day the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and the University Lowbrow Astronomers hosted an event to observe the Mercury transit.
