Modeled after the 1961 Dearmond 610 Volume/Tone pedal used by Jimmy Page, David Gilmour and Hank Marvin. It was the pre-cursor to the wah pedal. With a major difference being that it is a passive pedal with independent volume and tone control made possible by moving the pedal not only up and down, but also swiveling it side to side.
Using both volume and tone swells at the same time yielded a sort of cry to the sound when done slowly, or a distinctive 'Too-wah' sound when fast.
While this plugin only allows for pedal up and down, some range of volume/tone combinations can be achieved by changing the minimum value of the volume sweep with the tone sweep engaged. An external expression pedal is highly recommended as it is just a subtractive volume and tone effect otherwise without the pedal motion.
To create this plugin, the original circuit was simulated in LTSpice and signal output compared and adjusted to match known recordings of the 610.
