Special sessions may use up to 5-pages in the proceedings.

Demonstration sessions will not have space in the proceedings.

Basic Preparation and Submission Steps
All final versions or papers, etc., must be submitted electronically by email using both the Adobe PDF format and in the format of your word processing program.

1) Revise the content of your original submission based on the reviewers' comments.

2) Format your final paper according to the detailed guidelines provided in these template and example files:

General format notes:

  • Make sure to format for 8.5" x 11" paper (U.S. standard)
  • Use a 1-inch margin on all four edges of your paper
  • DO NOT number your pages, use running heads, or footnotes! (Endnotes are OK, see template.)
  • Use a single column, and "full justified" text
  • Use 10-point Times or similar serif font for general body text
  • Use Helvetica or similar sans-serif font for headings (see templates/examples for details)
  • Use APA style (4th edition) for citations and references
  • Don't exceed the page length for your format!
    Papers ('Talk Only') = 8 pages max.;
    Posters ('Poster Only') = 2 pages max.;
    Special Sessions = 5 pages max.
  • Select appropriate keywords for your paper, etc. (It will help us create an index for the proceedings). Please choose keywords from this list.
  • BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD AND FOLLOW THE TEMPLATE

3) Convert your paper, etc., into PDF format. If you are stumped about how to create a PDF file, please contact us at "[email protected]" for assistance.

Please also send us your paper, etc., in a word processor format, in case there are very minor changes that we can make on our own. We prefer Microsoft Word 98 for Macintosh format, but can also work with Word 97 or Word 2000. If you are not using Word, please convert your file to a "rich text format" (RTF) document before sending it. If in doubt, just convert to RTF.

4) Give your files names based on your last name, with the extension .pdf (e.g., Fishman.pdf, Fishman.rtf, Fishman.word98). If you have more than one submission, use numbers (e.g., Fishman1.pdf, Fishman2.pdf, etc.)

5) Email your PDF and word processor file(s) to "[email protected]".

6) Complete the copyright release form (no paper may be included in the proceedings until this form is received by the conference organizers).
