Next day, Whimsy wakes to see a pillar of light out the window.
Trumps Caine to warn him.
She and Edwin take a carriage to the site, but they're already gone.
Gavin says it's Ariana, Ish, and Meander.
Whimsy Trumps Ariana, and both Whimsy and Edwin come through.
Whimsy gets the whole story, agrees to help with the Faerie Ward.
They go to the Unicorn grove.
Caine interferes but is stopped.
Spell goes...Caine and others interfere...Whimsy Trumps out and soon retrieves Edwin.
Whimsy goes to see the King, but he's missing.
The investigation begins.
Ariana and Whimsy Trump Eric, but he claims to be innocent.
Felix is implicated by Vincent and interrogated by Whimsy.
Whimsy follows Random's directives.
Trump to Alex, attacked by demons, Trump home.
Edwin heals her.
Ariana arrives. Trouble all around.
They flee to the Pattern room where much mayhem ensues.
Whimsy walks the Pattern and becomes a living faerie ward. Yippee.
Whimsy runs to her room and cries.
Alexandra offers comfort; Whimsy refuses.
Lucien cannot help either.
Tell Random about everything, Nicholas is okay.
Trump Alex...wanna be a witch. He tries to zap her with the Spikard, but he fails. Ha ha.
He says she should talk to Meander.
Tell Felix to tell Eric he's off the hook.
Sleep.
