Ishmael's log, Chapter 131

Tuesday, November 15, 4

• Ishmael makes a full confession to Maddy.
• Ishmael makes a full confession to Nicholas.
• Ishmael inadvertently fucks up by spilling Whimsy's little cooking secret. He thought that Nicholas already knew.
• Nicholas promises Ishmael that he won't rat him out.
• Nicholas lied. Whimsy goes silently bitchcakes.

Wednesday, November 16, 4

• Corbin arrives for his enrollment at Ishmael's school.
• Meanwhile, Alexandra comes to Ishmael and tells him that Arawn has been kidnapped.
• Feeling that he owes her, he (of course) offers his help.
• He tells Maddy that he's going to help, but doesn't tell her that it involves going back to Faerie.

• Thanks to a setup by Alexandra, he and Ariana are caught by the faeries and held hostage.
• The Faerie King intends to starve them to death unless Nicholas turns over his Faerie Ward.

Thursday, November 17, 4

• He and Ariana are released, their ransom having apparently been met.
• He finds out that Alexandra and her son were released much sooner.
• He's exceptionally cranky.

• He returns home to find his wife an emotional train wreck. She tells him that Whimsy came and told her they were being held in Faerie.
• Ishmael finds Whimsy's note to him waiting on his desk.

Prince Ishmael:
I just finished speaking with his Imperial Majesty about a personal matter that occurred some seventy years ago.
You have an interesting way of thanking me for risking my health and safety to aid you in recovering your wife.
In the future, I would prefer you find other topics to discuss than my past, and I would prefer you not solicit my aid again. It will not be granted.
- Whimsy

• He sends a two word response, "FUCK YOU."
• He locks himself in his study, briefly.
• He goes to speak to Nicholas about what happened.
• The Faeries have The Orb and Nicholas has been badly burned.
• Brief conversation until Nicholas sends them all away.
• Corbin is transferred back to the Castle.
• Ishmael locks himself in his Dojo.

Friday, November 18, 4

• Ishmael has still not emerged from the Dojo.
• School is canceled indefinitely.
• Ariana tries to Trump him. He refuses.

Saturday, November 19, 4

• By early morning, Ishmael has still not emerged from the Dojo.
• Ariana tries to visit but is sent away.
• Ishmael eventually emerges and goes to talk to Maddy.
• After speaking to Maddy, he goes to speak to Nicholas.
