Welcome to ChE 344, the Chemical Reaction
Engineering class at the University of Michigan for Spring/Summer
2001. This marks the second time this class is being offered online,
through asynchronous or location independent learning.
This course covers the fundamentals of chemical
reaction engineering including: rate laws, kinetics, mechanisms
of homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions, analysis of rate data,
multiple reactions, adiabatic and non-adiabatic reactors, and multiple
reactions with heat effects. Emphasis is placed on logic rather
than memorization of equations and the conditions to which they
              apply.
