Introduction:

India is a developing country and computer education in the schools is at its infancy. The use of internet tools like electronic mail, pine, eudora, web and CUSeeMe will help collaboration and professional development in education. If the teachers and students from different school locations get access to the internet, the teaching learning would become more meaningful and interesting. The teachers and students from different corners of the country can collaborate by exchanging ideas, practical experiences, problems in classroom situations with possible solutions. Newsgroups and chatrooms technology may be introduced at the university level.

Access to the the internet by students and teachers in India may take several years due to poverty and require huge budget. However, this should not be the excuse when development in education for our future generation is concerned.
