Newsgroups for Study Groups
Following diagram shows a threading feature of newsgroup message from "k-12 science." In this newsgroup several articles are existing. As you can see here the same subjects indicate these are parts of a "thread." You can participate to a certain thread by posting message using "Re Mail", or you can start your own discussion topic by sending an article "To Mail."
By using newsgroup, participants can "Meet" more frequently and continuous discussions will become menage to easy. Also the "threading" problems of e-mail can be solved. However, newsgroups still support only textual and graphical communications. As a solution for this limitation, we will introduce video conferencing system which allows users to communicate using audio, video, and text as well.
Therefore, as the last Internet tools for enhancing professional development in this presentation, we would like to introduce "CU-SeeMe."
