My PhD thesis was on weighted polynomial approximation for Erdős weights.

Paul Erdős has studied Erdős weights in connection with contracted zero distribution of orthogonal polynomials of Chebyshev type.

My PhD advisor Doron Lubinsky has papers in approximation theory and orthogonal polynomials with Nevai, Totik and other mathematicans from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
