H-NMR Correlations:

After the synthesis is complete, Montgomery must travel to the Cave of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, where he will be able to confirm that what he created is the desired product, and that he is well on his way to achieving Orgotar status.

Within the supplemental information of this paper, there was only a text version of each hydrogen signal, not the actual spectra. As a result, we realized that for some signals, we could neither prove nor disprove our correlations. Additionally, there are 59 hydrogens in this molecule, and only 53 were given in the spectra. It is to be expected, because of their broad signals, that the N-H signals would not show up. However, we could not determine which other signals would not show up on the spectra, or if the authors made a mistake when reporting their data. The 4 missing hydrogens are the two pairs off of the first two carbons in the propanol chain. The expected shifts of both of these pairs should range from 1.7-2ppm. With the pair on the first carbon in the chain appearing further downfield than the pair on the middle carbon.
