I am a third-year PhD student at the University of Michigan studying number theory and arithmetic geometry. My advisor is Professor Kartik Prasanna.
Before Michigan, I did my undergraduate and Master's at the University of Cambridge.
Beomseok is my legal first name following the Korean Revised Romanization system, but it is not phonetically accurate. The pronunciation of my first name is /bʌ̹msʌ̹k/, which would actually be closer if you just try to read out the preferred spelling Bomsok.
My research area is number theory and arithmetic geometry. More specifically, I am interested in topics related to the Kudla program, theta correspondence, arithmetic intersection theory, and special values of L-functions (such as the Gross-Zagier formula, the Colmez conjeture, and their variants and generalizations).
Here are some of the notes that I have written. I claim no originality of these notes.
Please let me know if you find any errors or typos.
