About 30 years ago when the wife and I were novice birders we were birding along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We thought we saw and heard a Louisiana Waterthrush and asked one of the ranger naturalists if it was possible. He said he didn't know but one of the rangers was from Louisiana; maybe he would know.
