HISTORY:
Due to an increase in the number of girls interested in playing lacrosse at the University of Michigan the B team started during the 2008-2009 school year. Currently the team is in its third season. The team has grown extensively over the past two years, so much so that tryouts were hosted for the first time this year. Last fall over forty girls came to tryouts. This was a big, positive step for the team.

ABOUT THE TEAM:
This year the head coach is Christine Hite. It is her first season coaching the Michigan B team. Typically practices are held twice a week and most of the games are on the weekends. We travel regionally to places like Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and across Michigan. We are a member of the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League, WCLL, and play in the Northeast section of Division II. This year, for the first time, we are participating in the Big Ten Tournament hosted by Ohio State. Our main season is during the winter semester, practiceing January through April and during the fall semester we play one month of "fall ball" in October. |
