HOW TO RUN MACSCHIP With MacSchip, Prof. Veltman has put a wrapper around his Vsys command line version of Schoonschip so it can be launched by double clicking on its icon. That brings up a built-in editor for Schoonschip program files, with a menu item for executing the Schoonschip interpreter on the currently open file. It runs under Mac OS 9 and earlier, with or without Classic under OS X. You can use a normal text editor for Schoonschip files, but you then have to reopen a changed document in MacSchip to execute it. Program text may have either Macintosh or Unix line ends. Dropping the icon of a Schoonschip file onto the MacSchip icon does not work in this version. David N. Williams Ann Arbor, Michigan March 7, 2004
