Q & A - About Gymnastics and U-M

At what age did you start gymnastics?   3
How did you become involved in gymnastics?   I was hyperactive as a child and was put into gymnastics to keep me from killing myself.
What is your favorite event? Why?   Bars and floor. Bars is fun to swing and floor because I love to dance and perform.

What attracted you to the University of Michigan?   I loved Ann Arbor, the school spirit that filled the air was incredible, and the academics and awesome team made it a perfect choice.
What is it like competing for U-M?   It’s a lot of fun. You’re representing something bigger than yourself, and that’s an awesome feeling.
What has been your most memorable (gymnastics) moment at U-M?   Beating Georgia at home last year. That was awesome.
What has been your most memorable (non-gymnastics) moment at U-M?   Britney Spears dance parties in the dorms last year. So fun!

What inspires you to keep going after a disappointing meet or a tough week of practice?   Believe in yourself and work hard. Don’t let anyone deter you from what you really want.
What advice would you share with up-and-coming gymnasts who aspire to be like you or one of your teammates?   My inner drive, knowing that I am better than that, and that I have another chance to prove myself.
