A Summer in Household

How awesome it is to experience a blessing from the Lord God Almighty.  I came into household this summer not knowing what to expect, but I offered the time up to the Lord and he has truly blessed every second.
Through service, prayer, fellowship, and Bible study I found myself setting aside (sacrificing) more of my time for the Lord. Through this he

has brought me to a more mature level of discipleship.  Our focus this summer was dying  to ourselves and the world, that we may live more fully in the Lord.  If you asked me how I had died this summer I don't know if I could give a specific example.  However, the way I know that I have is that the Lord has brought me to live more fully in him, and he did

it through the context of living in household.
-Curt Street
Curt will be entering his final year at U of M this September.  His devotion to the Lord and zeal for service are an inspiration and blessing to us all in UCO.

Curt's face speaks a thousand words about the joys of household living.

Women's Year in Review

This was a year of deepening friendships between the women in UCO. Our women's groups, retreat, and activities were well attended, but the spirit of the women who came made the year exciting.
The women who were part of UCO this year were looking to

support each other as much as they could, and that resulted in many relationships beginning and growing. Our life in UCO overall was greatly strengthened by these committed friendships.
-Christi Anderberg

Together, Christi and Heidi    Grumelot were the women staff workers with UCO this year.  Their hard work and creativity were amazing.  We wish them both the best as they move on from active UCO staff work this fall.

Christi and Heidi … the dynamic duo!

Prayer Requests

2. Evangelism:  Our evangelism team will put on a "Basic Christianity" course this fall. Please pray for the new students we'll be meeting and inviting, as well as for a renewed zeal and effectiveness among our own students in sharing the Gospel with others.
3.
Households:   We will have a household of 9 men on north campus and another of  7 women on central campus this fall. Please pray for those who will be leading and serving in these households. Also, I might

ask you to intercede for spiritual growth and peace in relationships in these households.
4.
Small groups:  Finally, I would ask you to lift up in prayer our 8 or so men's and women's groups starting up this fall. You will recall how much these groups have touched our own lives during our UCO days.  May our brothers and sisters find the Lord in these groups.
-Nico Angleys

This past year has been a tremendous year of growth and life in UCO. I am grateful to the Lord for his faithfulness to us in our life together and our outreach on campus. I would invite you to join us and pray for some of these areas:
1.
Staff:  This year Brian Laba, Brian LaLonde, Heidi Fenton, Julie Quillan, and I will be serving on UCO staff. Most of these are beginning their first year of staff work. Please pray for our spiritual protection, for unity in our relationships, and fruitfulness in reaching out to others.
