The Initiation Banquet held at Weber's Inn on April 18, 2007, was very successful. Twenty-three initiates were inducted into the society (11 Full Membership and 12 Associate Membership). The attendees then heard an inspiring talk about translational research carried out by Prof. John Lehman and colleagues on attempts to control algae blooms in Ford Lake. Three of the four Science Fair prize winners brought their exhibits to the banquet. In the first photo below, Norman Zeng is on the left and Charlie Dobbs and Matthew Sanfield are in the foreground, along with Council members Elizabeth Duell and Bob Zand, who were judges at the Science Fair.
