Information Sessions

We host information sessions for our corporate sponsors, which are a great opportunity for your company representatives to talk about your company and career opportunities available for students. Students are able to learn more about companies that they are interested in working for or find new interest in a company they previously had not considered.

An information session during our weekly meetings is exclusively for members of Pi Tau Sigma, a group of some of the most qualified mechanical engineers and some of the top students in the entire college.

We also host information sessions with companies outside of our weekly meetings. These sessions are more flexible in terms of time and dates and is open to the entire College of Engineering at the University of Michigan.

If you'd like to sponsor an information session or donate to PTS, please contact our Secretary of Affairs, Subhojit Kundu (pts-bigwigs@umich.edu). If you are paying for an information session, please follow the PayPal link below.

Alumni

Dear PTS alumni,

We hope you fondly remember the company info sessions at weekly meetings, IM sports championships, and variety of social and service events in which you participated in your time as an active member of Pi Tau Sigma. Today, those of us Pi Rho members still on campus proudly carry on these traditions.

Now that you have graduated and are pursuing a career of your own, we would love for you to share your experiences and be involved in the chapter. As a member of your respective company, school, or other organization, one way to stay involved is to come speak to the chapter at one of our weekly meetings or host a general information session on campus. Typically, representatives come and speak to our student chapter on a variety of topics, such as job placement, engineering opportunities, and research in Mechanical Engineering. Your organization gets exposure to top Mechanical Engineering students and teaches the students about the organization, developing professional relationships for both you and the students.

In addition to always having an open invitation to come speak to the current members of the chapter, PTS alumni are also welcome to join us for social events, such as Whirlyball, happy hours, and Bakeathonafestapalooza! Another way to contribute to the chapter is through donations. Your contributions ensure that we can continue our regular programming and traditions we’ve had since your time here, give back to the department and university, and allow us to establish new programs for our members and fellow Mechanical Engineering students. In order to donate, you can email pts-bigwigs@umich.edu. Thank you!

Sincerely,
PTS E-Board
